Team chess

Chess Melee

Golf scramble, on a chessboard. Everyone on a team submits a move. When those picks differ, Stockfish plays the strongest legal idea, so one blunder does not sink the whole side.

How a turn works

  1. Host opens a room. Everyone picks White or Black and readies up.
  2. Each teammate submits one legal move. The turn waits until the whole side has picked — there is no clock yet.
  3. If everyone picked the same move, that move plays. If they picked different moves, Stockfish scores them and plays the highest eval.
  4. The board updates and the other side goes.

Built for mixed-skill groups, classrooms, and live streams — not majority vote chess.
